The control panel and the Wi-Fi app

Every 21 Cube has a touch panel on the wall and a phone app that talks to it. Heat, timer, lights and music all run from the same place. Here's what every button does, and how to get the app connected.

The control panel and the Wi-Fi app

The wall panel

The panel, button by button

  • TEMP + / − — sets your target temperature. While music is playing these skip to the previous or next track; in radio mode they tune the station up or down.
  • TIME + / − — sets how long the session runs. While music or radio is playing, these are volume up and down.
  • FM — turns the radio on. Tune with TEMP + / −. The display returns to temperature after about five seconds; press again to see radio status, and again to switch the radio off.
  • BT / USBshort press for Bluetooth: pair your phone and play anything on it through the sauna speakers. Press and hold for USB: plug a flash drive of MP3s into the USB port and it plays those instead.
  • Colour light (the sun icon) — cycles the colour lighting through nine steps: all colours, red, green, blue, red + green, red + blue, green + blue, off, then an automatic colour cycle.
  • The two lamp keys — each switches one of the sauna's lights on and off.
  • Heat ON/OFF — starts and stops the heater. Press and hold to switch the display between °F and °C.
  • Power — wakes the panel and puts it back to sleep. The panel has to be awake before anything else responds.
  • USB — the port itself, for a flash drive of music.

On the display, the upper number is temperature and the lower one is the timer in minutes.

Wi-Fi control from your phone

Setting up Wi-Fi control

Your sauna connects to the Smart Life app, free on the App Store and Google Play. Once it's set up you can start the sauna from anywhere — the drive home, the office, bed on a Sunday morning.

  1. Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone. Both need to be on for setup, even though the finished connection runs over Wi-Fi.
  2. Power up the control panel and leave it in standby.
  3. Open Smart Life and tap Add Device. Your sauna often appears on its own; if it doesn't, it's listed as “Smart Sauna Control Panel NEW”.
  4. Select it and tap Connect.
  5. Enter your Wi-Fi name and password. It must be a 2.4 GHz network — 5 GHz won't work. Most home routers broadcast both; pick the 2.4 GHz one.

The app opens the control screen as soon as it connects.

What you can do from your phone

  • Turn the sauna on and off
  • Set the temperature
  • Set the run time
  • Control the lighting
  • Schedule it to turn on or off at a set time

Scheduling is the one most owners end up using: set it for 6:30 and walk out to a sauna that's already at temperature.

2.4 GHz networks only. The panel can't see a 5 GHz network.

Troubleshooting & music

If it won't connect

  • Check you're on 2.4 GHz. This is the usual culprit. If your router gives both bands the same name, split them or connect your phone to the 2.4 GHz band during setup.
  • Bluetooth needs to be on during setup, even though the sauna talks over Wi-Fi afterwards.
  • Stay near the sauna while pairing.
  • Check the panel is awake — press Power first.
  • Still stuck? Call or text 817-440-4862 and we'll walk you through it.

Music, without the app

You don't need any app for sound. Press BT / USB on the panel, then pair from your phone's Bluetooth settings like any other speaker. Whatever plays on your phone plays in the sauna.

Stuck on setup?

Call or text and we'll sort it out.

We'd rather spend five minutes on the phone than have you fighting a router.
